Can philosophy become rock and roll? It’s not just a question — it’s the foundation of NEBO. And with their latest track, “Love Is a Choice”, the Charlottetown-based band delivers a bold, dynamic answer that moves as much as it makes you think.
Driven by rhythm, melody, and a subtle intellectual backbone, NEBO is not your typical rock band. Formed around the vision of Neb Kujundzic, a philosophy teacher with over 30 years of experience, the project blends thought and energy into something surprisingly natural: music that makes you dance… and reflect.
A Rock Track That Moves and Connects
“Love Is a Choice” is built on momentum. From the first seconds, the track establishes a groove that feels immediate, almost instinctive. Guitars push forward, the rhythm section locks in tightly, and the vocals carry a sense of urgency that gives the song its identity.
This is not static rock. It’s dynamic, alive, and rhythm-driven. The kind of track that doesn’t just sit in your headphones — it makes you move. There’s a clear intention behind it: to reconnect rock with its physical energy, its ability to bring people together through motion.
At the same time, the title itself hints at something deeper. “Love Is a Choice” suggests agency, decision, and awareness — themes that resonate strongly with NEBO’s philosophical roots. It’s this duality that defines the band: accessible on the surface, layered underneath.
A Band Built Across Generations
NEBO is not a conventional lineup. It is a meeting point between generations, experiences, and musical backgrounds. This diversity is part of what gives the band its richness.
Liam Corcoran – Vocals (also known from Two Hours Traffic)
Sergey Varlamov – Lead Guitar & Production
Cameron Menzies – Bass & Vocals
Garrett Sherwood – Drums
Sean Ferris – Keyboards
Neb Kujundzic – Rhythm Guitar & Songwriting
The band is also joined by Maria Campbell, whose vocals add another dimension to the project. Her voice moves effortlessly between softness and power, bringing an emotional depth that complements the band’s sound.
This combination of musicians creates a balance between structure and spontaneity — a sound that feels both crafted and alive.

From Philosophy to Sound
At the core of NEBO lies an unusual creative process. The songs are written by Neb Kujundzic, arranged collectively by the band, and recorded and produced by Sergey Varlamov at Crabbe Road Productions.
The name NEBO, meaning “sky” in several Slavic languages, reflects the band’s artistic ambition: open, expansive, and not limited to a single direction. Their music moves across genres, blending rock with subtle influences from alternative, classic, and even atmospheric textures.
This approach was already evident in their debut album “Metaphysical Machines”, released on October 1, 2024 — a project that introduced their concept of merging philosophical ideas with musical expression.
A Growing Artistic Identity
NEBO is part of a wave of independent artists who are not afraid to experiment with identity. In a landscape often driven by formulas, the band chooses exploration. Their sound is not fixed — it evolves, track by track.
“Love Is a Choice” marks another step in that evolution. A track that feels more immediate, more physical, but still anchored in the band’s core vision.
It’s a reminder that rock music can still surprise — not by being louder, but by being more intentional.

A Different Kind of Rock Band
NEBO doesn’t try to fit into a category. It asks questions instead. And somehow, it turns those questions into music that feels alive, rhythmic, and human.
With “Love Is a Choice”, the band proves that rock can still carry ideas without losing energy — and that sometimes, the best way to think… is to move.
