How to Install the Presets
A licensed installation of Xfer Records Serum is required. This download contains preset files and does not include the synthesizer itself.
- Download Chill Vibes Volume 1 from the official Synth Designer page.
- Extract the downloaded ZIP archive.
- Open Serum inside your DAW.
- Click Menu and select “Show Serum Presets Folder.”
- Copy the pack into the Presets folder.
- Return to Serum and rescan the preset folders if necessary.
Keeping the bank inside its own clearly named folder will make the presets easier to locate during future sessions.
Production Tips
Shorten long releases: Pads with extended tails can quickly cover drums, vocals and other melodic layers.
Control the low frequencies: High-pass atmospheric patches when they overlap with the kick or bass.
Automate filters: Gradual filter movements can add progression to sustained chords and introductions.
Reduce excessive effects: Lower the internal reverb or delay when a preset occupies too much space in the arrangement.

The presets are not standalone audio files and cannot be loaded directly into Kontakt, Vital or a conventional sampler.
